The original 'modern era' Suzuki mini twin has become a racing and track-day favourite. Adding a slipper clutch puts this bike in a position to compete on track against many much more powerful bikes. However the standard clutch is very small. This is the 'racing' version which adds two more plates (one friction and one steel – not supplied) to the clutch pack to try and boost the clutches power capacity as much as possible.
The version also uses 6 clutch springs (supplied) to boost its ability to manage additional power. To further strengthen the clutch both clutch friction surfaces are steel reinforced. To accommodate the extra plates we also supply a reinforced basket.
The clutch gives you all the usual slipper clutch benefits, greater stability into corners, more grip through them and some defence against engine damage from over-revving!
