Kawasaki’s little Ninja 400 is the king of Junior Supersport.. it needs a decent set up and a good slipper clutch… The standard clutch isn’t much good for racing but it does handle the torque quite well. Most aftermarket slipper clutches struggle with the torque, not on a dyno but certainly on gear-changes with a quick-shifter. There the torque spike from the shift overpowers the clutch. This clutch was our first design for the Junior Supersport class and will provide excellent slipper action ‘on track ‘ but with only 4 springs and the standard plates isn’t recommended for a quick-shifter equipped bike, for anything else however it will be a great addition to the bike. The clutch gives you all the usual slipper clutch benefits, greater stability into corners, more grip through them and some defence against engine damage from over-revving!
